Controller
Mid-Land Enterprises is seeking a Controller to join the leadership team of our growing company! The Controller is at the heart of our company’s day-to-day financial operations, providing a foundation for its financial management. Systematic, solutions-oriented, and forward-thinking, the Controller leads the accounting function with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
Critical Responsibilities:
- Lead three team members and outside support contractors
- Forecast short and medium term cash flow
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations (cash, payroll, billing, A/R collections, A/P, weekly flash reports, job set up and close out, insurance)

- Documents policies and procedures for clarity, consistency and personnel redundancy
- Safely retains paper and electronic files
- Measures performance against the annual budget and highlights cost overruns
- Communicates and collaborates with internal and external parties
- Internal: management, office, and field team members
- External: bank, bonding, customers, vendors, PEO, CPA, insurance, etc.
- Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team on the annual budgets, cost control, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
Desired Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- At least three years supervisory experience
- Knowledge of Foundation Software and Procore a plus
