Millwright Foreman
We are seeking a skilled Millwright with an experience level inherent with that of a foreman-preferably 4 years of Millwright foreman experience. This skilled candidate has an immediate mission to oversee the daily operations of a millwright crew between 2 and 35 workers; maintains safety, productivity, and accountability of personnel, equipment, and resources; works to complete the job within an estimated cost of goods and communicates with the customer to identify needs and ensure satisfaction.
Skills include:
- Expert in Millwright operations
- Develop a plan of action, work the plan and do not deviate from the plan
- Must provide leadership and positive encouragement to all crew members
- Solutions provider that is comfortable with communicating with owners, plant managers, and other contractors to accomplish the job
- Must have the ability to read and interpret all blueprint formats
- Understand the Change Order process
- Proficient in aerial lifts, scissor lifts, fork lifts, traksporter, and other equipment as needed
- MSHA 46/48 certified
- Fully proficient in all forms of welding to include carbon and stainless steel
- Expert in complex and heavy rigging
- Proficient in all millwright hand tools, specialty tools, millwright power tools, and precision measuring tools
- Ability to think outside of the box and understand equipment handling, pre-alignment, laser alignment, optical alignment, fabrication, and lubrication orders
- Ability to troubleshoot motors, turbines, pneumatics, fans, blowers, belts, chain drives, couplings, seals, bearings, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and baseplates
- Function expertly in a confined space area
- OSHA 30, boom certifications, and DOT Class A/B are preferred
- Proficient in Project Tracking Software (PROCORE preferred)
- Have professional, effective verbal communication skills
